About Theo
Theo Foster is a writer, disability activist, and multidisciplinary artist. Theo has been fighting for the Disabled community since he was 16; at 17, he was on the board of directors for an art therapy nonprofit, at 18, he cofounded the first accessible queer prom in his city. He has spent his 20s continuing this mission, hosting virtual events, working on mutual aid campaigns, and writing educational content. He loves to write poetry and personal essays, and is currently working on a manuscript and looking for a literary agent. He is a lifelong learner, and his disciplines include drawing, painting, photography, mixed media, digital art, and jewelry making.

Note for transperancy: this website is not perfectly accessible, but slowly coming together. This site is made by a very tired, busy individual, powered by random hyperfixated late nights, so bear with me! Some of my stylistic choices limit accessibility, so I plan on /eventually/ making a simplified, accessible version, and adding alt text to every image (on both versions).
Accomplishing accessibility on a small scale is very imperfect, but the most important piece is transparency about what about your site, or art, or event, (or whatever) is and isn't accessible, IMO.

fun news! I made a zine called Mobility Aids 101 and it is FREE to download! If you're interested in destributing it please contact me. This zine is actually why I created this website in the first place - I needed a spot to share the image descriptions to my zines! (And now I'm obsessed with Neocities). I wanted to create what I needed at the beginning of my journey with mobility aids. This zine includes so much more than just definitions; but also where to obtain mobility aids, what they could help with, and photos of real people using mobility aids - because god knows that's what I needed to see.
